Feb 22 – Homily – Fr Ignatius: Feast of The Chair of St Peter.

Homily #140222 ( 00min) Play The chair is a symbol of authority. Peter answers with the truth about Jesus. Not with his own human reasoning but by the grace and enlightenment of Gods grace. What is loosed on earth with be loosed in heaven, what is bound on earth will be bound in heaven. Who teaches the truth with God's authority? Jesus said "I will build my church", the keys of which are given to Peter. We need to follow the one who has the keys to the kingdom. There is one shepherd and there is one flock. The principle for unity in the life of the body of the Church is found in her invisible head which is Christ acting through the visible head which is Peter.
