Feb 16 – Homily – Fr Ignatius: Life Is Short, Heaven Awaits Us

Views 903

Homily #140216 ( 15min) Play - God gives us the ability to follow all the Commandments, but we must be willing to eliminate all things which cause us to sin, even if it hurts and is a great sacrifice. Life is very short, and the fullness of joy and peace in heaven will make all these sacrifices seem like nothing.

The Exhortation of Blessed Father Francis to the Friars:

"Most beloved friars and sons forever blessed, hear me, hear the voice of your Father. Great things we have promised; greater have been promised us. Let us observe the former; let us aspire to the latter. Pleasure is short; punishment, everlasting; suffering is slight; glory, infinite; many are called, few are chosen. Brothers, while we have time, let us do good."

Ave Maria!
