Jan 28 – Homily – Fr Louis Maximilian: The Presence of the Lord

Louis Maximilian reflects on today's reading from the Second Book of Samuel, mentioning three points of consideration: First, the true Christian will acknowledge the presence of Our Lord, dwelling Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity in the tabernacle, as their life. Second, the Christian will rejoice in this presence of God in the Eucharist, for God intends for it to strengthen us. Lastly, we must unite our sacrifices to the ultimate sacrifice of Our Lord on the Cross. All of these things will not only bring us true joy, but will lead to many eternal blessings. Let us look to Our Lady, who exemplified these reflections so perfectly, and imitate her.
