Jan 27 – Homily – Fr Maximilian W: Forgiveness and the Unforgivable Sin

Homily #140127n ( 05min) Play - As Our Lord points out, blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is an unforgivable sin. But what does this mean? We can do this by despair, giving up on the forgiveness of God, or of presumption, sinning thinking God will forgive us anyways. These sins is "eternal" because those who commit them refuse to repent--and how can one who refuses to repent be pardoned? Let us never give up on God, but repent and trust in God's mercy, He is waiting for us.
