Larry Richards of the diocese of Erie in the first talk for the 2013 Priest's Retreat at Mother of the Redeemer Retreat Center in Bloomington, Indiana titled "Becoming the Priest God has Called us to be". He explains how priests must be icons of Christ the Chief Shepherd and this begins with being good sheep which starts with Baptism when we all become children of God, brothers with Jesus who is God the Son, the first child of God.
