Views 2011
Homily #130828b ( 07min) Play - Fr. Joachim on the life of St Augustine of Hippo who was raised Christian but went wayward and embraced teachings that affirmed his sin. At one point he realized that Christianity was the truth but did not have strength to set aside his carnal pleasures. The Catholic Church would be very attractive/appealing if those of us within the barque would spend our time going about doing good, and praying for souls (in holy silence), rather than condemn, or stick our noses up at sinners.
“Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do” comes to mind.
Praying for more St Monicas and St Augustines to rise from the mud of the world.
