Ave Maria!

Fr. Elias gives a talk to local homeschool families here in Indiana on Friday morning,  October 12th  on the role of families in maintaining and spreading the Catholic faith. He discusses the importance of faith, that it is a great gift that needs to be treasured and maintained. He links this to the Year of Faith that the Holy Father has started a few days ago on the fiftieth anniversary of the opening of Second Vatican Council. He emphasizes the continuity of the Council with Tradition and how we are to continue with this great Tradition in our lives and pass them on to our children. Accepting this faith will make us happy now and in eternity. So we should hold on to it, nourish it and help others receive it as well. He also covers:

  • Sanctity will make us happy

  • Following what God is calling us to do will make us happy, vocations

  • Importance of the family for faith

  • Payer in the family, Rosary

  • Protection against falsehoods

  • Family is a Domestic Church

  • Discerning good from evil

  • Exercising our faith

  • Surviving bad times and temptations

  • Consecration to Our Lady

  • Importance of Mary for Faith in Jesus

  • Miracle of the sun on the 13th of Oct is the 95th Anniversary.
