“FIAT!”
I have been thinking intently along these very same lines lately. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in the externals, for instance, thinking that we have changed a habit, and really we have just adopted the very minimum to get by. Yet, we congratulate ourselves for doing such a good job in making whatever change was required and still have not changed internally. Knowing that I have done all as prescribed externally without any internal change for something as important as one’s health, imagine how much more the concern is on a spiritual level. Yes, external changes have been made, but dare it be said, don’t be fooled into thinking that I have made the leap of faith required to detach from myself.
