Jul 10 – Homily – Fr Angelo: Sowing in Good, Humble Soil

Homily #110710 ( 13min) Play -In today's gospel Jesus gives the parable of the Sower of the Seed that lands on good soil and bad and his disciples ask him why he uses parables. Fr. Angelo explains that parables are not to prevent people from understanding but to help people of good will to come to him and ask for more explanation. These people of good will are the ones with humble hearts who are, in turn, represented in this parable as the good soil that receives the seed and produces an abundant harvest.
