“Your footprints leave a trail of fertility” is what the psalmist says about God, our Lord. He sanctified the waters so that we could be sanctified by them.
Thank you for reminding me that whenever I use holy water and make the sign of the Cross, I should think about what I’m doing and not just do it out of habit.
