Homily #091025 ( 20min) Play - Jericho is a city that symbolizes sin while Jerusalem symbolizes virtue. Bartimaeus the blind man of Jericho was cured by our Lord, both physically in his eyes and spirtually in his heart, for he then left the blindness of the sins of Jericho and followed Our Lord into the promised land of the heavenly Jerusalem. Today this spiritual battle is still raging. Let us have the in-sight to turn our backs on sin and darkness, take up our cross, embrace sanctity and purity, and follow Our Lord into His Kingdom of Light.
