Fr. Bonaventure explains the importance of the love of poverty that was so central to St. Francis' spirituality and how this relates to devotion to Christ and Mary and the importance of the incarnation and the bodily death of Christ and to the renewal of the Church in our materialistic times.Ave Maria!

Thank you, Fr. Bonaventure for a very inspiring and informative homily. It seems to me that the joy and zeal of the Poverello can only be understood as a special and ongoing spiritual preference such as mentioned in your homily. You said biographers have cited the Mother of God asking her Son for “an Institute of her own”. Can you tell me where I can find that reference in the literature?
