Ave Maria!— March’s Theme: Imperfections and Sins
“Self love, ones own self esteem and false freedom of spirit, are the roots that cannot be easily eradicated from the heart of man, but one can only impede their fruits, which are sins. [And this is] because their first germs and their shoots – that is, their first jolts and their first movements – cannot entirely be eradicated as long as one is in this mortal life, although one can moderate and diminish their quality and strength mediating the practice of the opposite virtues, and in particular the love of God.”
