“Sometimes the Lord permits that the sneaks/spies, which are our venial sins and imperfections, run here and there in His kingdom. But all of this He does not permit except as to let us know that without Him we would be a prey to our enemies. Let us humble ourselves much and confess as well that if God was not our shield and armor, we would be immediately pierced by every kind of sin.”
