“Behold the condition with which we must give ourselves to God: that from henceforth He does His Will in us and that He destroys ours (our will) as He pleases. Oh, how happy are those whom God molds according to His Will, and whom He trains, either with tribulations or with consolations. The true servants of God have always esteemed adversity more as the most conformable to the path trodden by our Head, Who worked our salvation by means of the cross and of disgraces.”
