“You must be submissive,and in order to achieve this, consider how the Son of God abased Himself in His Incarnation and in His mortal life, especially in His painful death, so that He could say with the Prophet: I am reduced to nothing. Let us always bear in mind, moreover, that it was precisely this humiliation which led to His honor and glory, that by His example He confirmed His own words: He who humbles himself will be exalted.”
