Ave Maria!— December’s Theme: Humility
“There are some abject virtues and some honorable ones. Ordinarily, patience, sweetness, humility and simplicity, for lay people, are abject virtues. Giving alms, being courteous and prudent, are honorable virtues. There are actions of the same virtue which are abject and others honorable: giving alms and forgiving injuries are both children of charity; the former is honorable and the latter is abject to the eyes of the world.”
