“Let us not avoid experiencing the bitter things of life, if it is the Immaculate who sends them to us. There does not exist any single corner of the world devoid of crosses; as for the rest, if there were none, we wouldn’t even have the possibility of gaining Paradise. Therefore, let’s not try too hard to escape the cross, but, if it is necessary to take it upon our shoulders, let us carry it with courage for love of the Immaculate.” (SK #751)
