“Often one hears of and reads about astonishing affirmations, according to which we Catholics venerate Mary, the Mother of Jesus Christ, in an exaggerated way??The Catholic Church, however, does not at all act in this manner, but venerates the Saints only in as much as they are faithful servants of God, and above all the Church venerates in a particular way the Most Holy Virgin Mary, in as much as She is the Mother of God.” (SK #1194)
