“In the Earthly Paradise, the rebel angel, Satan, noticed a woman without any stain of sin. It was not She whom God had revealed before, it was however a human being similar to Her. And Satan felt his blood boil with hatred. He tempted her and led her to rebel against the will of God. Nevertheless, God remembered that Creature whom He had in His eternal plans and said, “She shall crush thy head” (Gn. 3:15): “You did not want to render homage to Her and because of Her you were thrust into Hell, so also because of Her your prideful head shall be crushed, because of Her you must flee from every soul who venerates Her.” (SK #1293)
