Ave Maria!
We celebrated our first Traditional Latin Mass here at Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel in Griswold, CT on Friday, Sept 14, feast of the Triumph of the Holy Cross 2007. The next morning Fr. Peter Fehlner gave an interview with the Roving Reporter on the subject. Okay, the Roving Reporter did not have to rove very far because it was filmed right on the front porch of the friary, but after the busy week we had even he needed a break. Listen as Fr. Peter explains that there are not two rites but only one which can be celebrated with some adaptations and that if the Novus Order is celebrated by the book then it is not much different from the traditional Latin Mass.
The evening of the same day of this interview we had our second Latin Mass and this we broadcast, live. You can view the comments here.

How nice it was to see Father Peter celebrating the High Tridentine Rite Mass. I loved it as a child. Even before I knew language at all, I was transported by the mass as it “was in those old days”. There was something so profoundly beautiful about it, you really did feel as though your were entering a mystery, experiencing the supernatural. And here Father Peter explains why. The Priest with the people facing east, enter the “mystery of worship”, of their Triune God.
I really missed it, but how much how much I missed it, I realized, as I heard him explain it, and saw him celebrating it that way again.
Thanks FI, stay on the cutting edge.
