The day’s Gospel has three parables of the Kingdom of God, the Field with the Wheat and the Weeds, the Mustard Seed, and the Yeast and the Bread. These parables that are agricultural in their details hark back to the fall which involved good and bad fruit, and so, underscores how salvation comes to us in the same way that the fall happened but in reverse.
