Ave Maria!
In a latest Newsflash by Inside the Vatican Magazine an excellent interview titled “The Overseer of Justice” was featured by their correspondent Andrew Rabel of Archbishop Raymond Burke who heads the Apostolic Signatura in Rome. Not only were many interesting subjects covered, ranging from Pope Benedict, to the Obama-Notre Dame fiasco, to His Excellency’s role as head of the Church’s ‘Supreme Court’ – but also he mentioned many projects and events with which the FIs have had mutual involvement and in the process we were mentioned a few times. These include the recent Ordinations by Abp. Burke of six FI priests in Tarquinia, Italy according to the extraordinary form (old Rite), the National Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse, WI and the fact that we help staff it, the promotion of Kolbian Marian Spirituality and the Marian Dogmas of Coredemptrix and Mediatrix, and the promotion of Our Lady of America. Here is an excerpt:

Ave Maria! Fr. Angelo Geiger, FI gives a homily at the visitation of Our Lady of America at St. Veronica’s in Howell, NJ as she is escorted in grand style by the Jackson Fire Department with four fire engines, lights flashing, sirens wailing and horns blaring through the City of Howell and then carried into St. Veronica’s church. In the context of this manly devotion of the fire men (many of whom were at Ground Zero six years ago) and Our Lady’s call to purity and the upholding of family life, Fr. Angelo calls us to renew our commitment to the family and especially for men to embrace the much neglected vocation of fatherhood as key to promoting purity in society. Our Lady of America has promised to give us the strength to follow these difficult vocations if only we take up devotion to her Immaculate Heart. We hope to have the Visitation to St. Antoninus and other videos up soon. Ave Maria! |

Our Lady of America on the fire truck at St. Antoninus. The truck shown here?is the same?used at Ground Zero in NY the week before. At St. Veronica’s another antique fire truck was used. Wow! What a week end! We had an incredible trip to?New Jersey for the?visit of Our Lady of America.? We are working on the videos but are not quite ready. We have some pictures of the visit to St. Antoninus in Newark, NJ.? Unfortunately we were so busy with the video and a bit short handed so we did not get any pictures of the trip to St. Veronica’s in Howell, NJ.? Ave Maria! Update: See a shorter video here Here is the video. It was a while coming, but worth the wait. Wow! What an event, a lifetime experience, and so much video footage to edit! Thanks for your patience. It is a bit longer than most of our videos here on AirMaria, but every deletion was heart rending. We will hopefully be posting a shorter version tomorrow. This segment includes Our Lady of America at St. Peter’s, enthronement on the fire tuck, the trip past Ground Zero, Her arrival at St. Patrick’s and the devotions there. Many thanks to Denise Parlacoski and Kevin McCarthy for making this happen. Thanks to the Fire and Police Departments of Newark and New York, to the Port Authority, the dioceses of Newark and New York and to Fr. Kevin Madigan, pastor of St. Peter’s and Monsignor Robert T. Ritchie, rector of St. Patrick’s and many others. Thanks to all who attended these events and, finally, thanks to Our Lady of America for taking center stage in our troubled times. Our Lady of America, pray for us. Ave Maria! |
