We do this by hating that part of ourselves which is selfish and loving that part that is the image of the Triune God which is self-sacrificing. This is exemplified by none other than Jesus Christ, God the Son and imitated by the martyr St Lawrence, on who’s feast day this homily was given.

Father explains this in relation to the plenary indulgence that the Pope gave to the chapel. His Eminence Raymond Leo Cardinal Burke preaches at the 3rd Anniversary of the dedication of the main church at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe of which he is the founder. He focuses how the Lord dwells with us and the importance of places of worship which reflects the fact that Christ is God made man and dwells in a special way in our churches in the Holy Eucharist. He relates this in particular to the request that Our Lady made to Bishop Zumarraga through St. Juan Diego to build a chapel.
