Dec 12 – Homily – Fr Angelo: Our Tender Mother and the New Evangelization

Homily #131212n ( 15min) Play - Fr. Angelo gives us the historical context Our Lady appeared in, and contrasts Her, who called herself Tender Mother, with the demonic mother deity of the Aztecs, Coatlicue. This miraculous intervention of Our Lady brought peace into Mexico and the bloody Aztecs to Christ in stupendous numbers. Finally, Father points out that the continuing miracle of the Tilma shows the continuing intervention Our Lady is making for the Americas' and that She, the "Star of the New Evangelization" is the solution to the darkness that is again falling over the New World. May we look to Her as our model and beg Her to crush the head of the dragon again in our own age.
