Homily #110102s ( 10min) Play – Fr. Angelo has the second Mass for today which is a special Mass for the drawing of the Epiphany Cards that takes place after Mass. It also the occasion of the unveiling of our new icon for our Pro-life Shine which is Our Lady Helper in Childbirth that has an ancient tradition attached to it. Fr. Angelo preaches on how it is important to focus on the three Magi because they were coming to Christ, the source of light, from the darkness of their paganism. This display of humility (to look beyond what they were masters of) should be imitated by us modern men who are such masters of science and so move from our new paganism to find the true light.

Homily #110703 ( 39min) Play – The Father has hidden these things from the proud. We can see in our own country an apostasy from God and a turning to the “great works”  of own hands. Technology misused; that is not used for the glory of God becomes seductive in the way of evil. The worst chastisement God can send to a nation is affluence.

Our Lord does not tell us we have to finish everything we start, but that we must try our best.

As you know we have been having problems with the audio for the homilies here in Bloomington. I have tried many things. Today I tried something and it was a total failure so there is no homily for today. But the good news is that I think I solved the audio problem for the future. Here is an audio test done after the Mass this morning. Let me know if it sounds good to you. Hopefully it is solved. Please leave comments on how it sounds.
