Here are the 155 nationwide locations for Stand-up for Religious Freedom Rally this Friday, June 8th on the 223rd anniversary of the introduction of the Bill of Rights that included the historic First Amendment which gave America its hallmark Freedom of Religion. It is to protest the HHS mandate that requires all employers to provide contraceptive services in their insurance plans. As mentioned yesterday we will be attending and reporting on the one in Connecticut. Hannah C. Smith is the Senior Counsel for the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty. Her organization was the first in the nation to file lawsuits against the HHS Insurance Mandate on behalf of Belmont Abbey College, Colorado Christian University, EWTN, Ave Maria University, and others.

She recently came to La Crosse, WI to discuss a multitude of growing threats to the free exercise of religion guaranteed by the First Amendment.

The evening was sponsored by the Diocese of La Crosse, the La Crosse Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, and the Newman Catholic Students of UW-La Crosse.

If we do not stay focused on the true faith then we will also fail to hold onto the natural law. Thus as we drift from Christianity we have things like abortion, contraception, UFC Fighting, and infanticide come in as our intellect becomes darkened. We need to do all we can to bring the light of Christ into our society, again as Vatican II commands, so all can freedom in Christ.
