This is  a Good Friday through Easter montage of video clips from the Mother of the Redeemer Retreat Center at Bloomington. The “Good Friday” clips are of the Way of the Cross here, but were filmed last fall during peak foliage on a day with a quite dramatic sky. The Easter scenes are from this Easter 2015. The Hymn is Iesu, Quadragenariae sung by our friars in Italy, followed by Alleluias from our sisters.

Fr. Bernard Geiger, OFM Conv. gives the first of two talks at the semiannual Marian Day this fall at the Mother of the Redeemer Retreat Center on the theme of the Rosary and its challenge to us, that we need to follow God’s way. This is made clear in the book of Exodus where the Jews suffered so much for not following the plan God set before them. Fr. Geiger points out that God gives us his plan through the Joyful and Luminous mysteries of the Rosary. Listen as he goes through all ten of these mysteries, outlining what God wants us to do.

We had our annual Corpus Christi procession at the Mother of the Redeemer Retreat Center in Bloomington, Indiana. It was a great day with a big turnout especially when we were competing with the 100th Anniversary of the Indy 500. Deo Gratias!

Fr. Ignatius gives the homily for the Life Teen Leadership Retreat that is focused on the topic of distractions in the spiritual life and how to avoid them. Father focuses on the story in today’s Gospel of how the Apostles had to take time out to recharge and on the entrance antiphon which is in Our Lady’s words which say, “Come listen to me and I will teach you the fear of the Lord” and so explains the purpose of a Marian retreat center like the Mother of the Redeemer Retreat Center here in Bloomington.

At the Saint Paul Street Evangelization 2017 retreat for Evangelists called Lumen Veritatis at the Mother of the Redeemer Retreat Center, Mark Hornbacker and Steve Dawson give the fourth of six talks: “Power Evangelization & Healing” where they explain the role of miracles and healing in the early Church to power evangelize a society that is hardened in sin.  They discuss whether our current society is equally hardened and thus if our New Evangelization is equally in need of miracles. This is covered from the, biblical, theological and, of course, the practical, experienced, street evangelist’s point of view and is the product of much prayer and research. Steve relates an actual experience he had with healing and the one he healed gives her testimony.
