On the memorial of St. Didacus of Alcalá (Nov 07), Fr. Matthias explains in the homily how St. Didacus is a perfect example of Franciscan humility, and of the joy and peace that follow it. When dedicating ourselves to the unpleasant “little” things of daily life, we should understand that in God’s eyes, nothing done for love of Him is small, and in our own eyes none of His plans for us can be considered small or unimportant.

The Life of Bl. Giles of Lorenzana, Confessor, First Order (1443-1518) for the Franciscan Saint of the Day for Jan 15. Giles was hermit known for his deep contemplation that lead to great holiness and his body remained incorrupt after death.

Reflection is on devotion during prayer, being attentive to God
Look away from distractions
Devotion is a sign of love of God and so God will love you, giving more grace and then more devotion.
