Ave Maria!

We are excited to present Fr. Maximilian Mary Dean, F.I. and Michael Grogan as they sing “I Will Lead You Into Solitude” written by St. Alphonse Ligouri in this first installment of our new weekly series “Immaculate Music.” This is the first song of a concert filmed live at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Binghamton, NY on the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, May 22nd, 2005. This Concert has fifteen songs, each beginning with a short meditation, all of which you will be seeing in the coming weeks.

The CD / DVD set of this concert is available at our bookstore on MaryMediatrix.com. It is called “O Holy & Immaculate Heart.”

Continuing our series of music videos of the Apostles Creed from the Roman Catechism set to beautiful polyphonic music from the Franciscans of the Immaculate and classic religious art, we now proceed to the eighth article of the Creed: “I believe in the Holy Ghost.”

The musical piece is “Sicut Cervus” by composer Giovanni Palestrina.

On January 6^th, 2010, the Franciscan Friars in Italy had the privilege of celebrating the Traditional Mass with Cardinal Castrillon Hoyos, President Emeritus of Ecclesia Dei. We hope you enjoy viewing some of the scenes from the Mass and listening to the Creed which was sung during the Mass and directed by Alessandro Pucci and Andrea Ferranti. The name of the chorus (in Italian) is the “Schola Cantorum ‘Santa Cecilia’ di Corridonia e Coro di Cloumurano”.

Friar Terrance sends ‘Ave Maria!’s and prayers to all.
