Religion doesn’t make us second class, settling for an accommodation
Our conscience is sacred; our freedom of religion is a treasure
Handed to us by Soldiers who fought and sacrificed beyond measure
The 1st amendment protects the free exercise of Religion
To exercise our freedom without living a contradiction
As faithful Americans we HOLD THESE TRUTHS

This isn’t to be partisan or to endorse a candidate
This is about a plea to the administration to rescind this mandate
And as you deliberate for freedoms sake just remember

As we have blogged about here on AirMaria the HHS Mandate on Contraception is a serious impingement on religious liberty that affects everyone’s First Amendment rights. There will be a nation wide rally at 12 noon to 1pm on Friday March 23 to stand up for our rights and will take place at hundreds of locations around the country. God willing, the AirMaria team will be going to the one in Hartford where none other than Joe Scheidler will be speaking.

You can listen to Raymond Arroyo speak with Professor Alvare about her open letter to Obama and Sebelius telling them they don’t speak for all women, and explain why the HHS Mandate is unconstitutional.

He discusses with hostess Corinn Dahm how it violates the First Amendment rights of Catholics, how the Obama ‘compromise’ is no compromise at all and is effectively not even a change from the original, offensive mandate. They cover the many political forces pushing for contraception (pharmaceuticals, abortion providers, hedonists, population control advocates) the effects of contraception on health and families and on women. They ask why is contraception being offered for free when life saving medication and procedures are not free, but require a co-pay? Why artificial birth-control is offered completely free and natural family planning is not funded at all.
