Enduring Hardship to the End for Christ’s Salvation – Jul 10 – Homily – Fr Dominic

Fr Dominic Murphy Murphy gives the homily, on how Christians are sent out like sheep among wolves, facing various persecutions and hardships, but must endure to the end with the Holy Spirit's guidance and shrewd faithfulness to Jesus and the Gospel to receive salvation.

Father Dominic reminds us that, like the apostles, we are sent into the world to spread the Gospel, much like sheep among wolves. This means we will encounter various forms of opposition, from spiritual evil and human persecution by authorities to even misunderstandings or betrayal from family members. When faced with such challenges, we shouldn't fear what to say, but trust the Holy Spirit to speak through us. We are called to be both shrewd and innocent, wisely navigating difficulties while remaining faithful to Jesus, Mary, and the Gospel message. The ultimate goal is to persevere through all hardships until the end, holding firm to our faith, prayers, and charity, knowing that whoever endures will be saved and receive a crown from the Lord.
