Ave Maria!

Each year there are three Encampments at Our Lady of Guadalupe Friary in Griswold Connecticut. In this short video clip Friar Terrance takes us for quick browse around the main event on Saturday during the Spring Encampment. There will be a second and third Encampment this year, in August and October.

    Ave Maria,

Excellent reporting Friar Terrance, I liked the “hands on” approach. Now if you become the head cook you could prepare a meal that Holy Father Francis would be proud of. You could hunt for meat, use leaves and other berries for a salad, and finish it off with a nice birch twig desert. Great reporting keep it up.

  • Other Mary says:

Great job, Fra Terrance! We’re hoping there’s a part 2, though!

  • Pascendi says:

I would like to thank all the friars (and the men who are the Knights of Lepanto) for their generous hospitality in opening their home up three times a year to we many families. It is an example of true knightly charity & chivalry. These weekends put living flesh on the Gospels for all of us dads and their sons.

I would like to point out that the fathers who come from all over to attend these things are an encouragement and an instruction to me. I have been to three of these encampments thus far and have learned something each time about being a better dad… simply by watching the other fathers or the friars in action .

  • Steve says:

I would be suspicious of any meat that Fra Terrance hunts & tries to feed anyone given the way he was weilding that bow. Good job reporting though.

  • Carol says:

The reporting was fantastic. Helps us, who don’t go, to understand what the kids are talking about. Keep up the good work your all doing.
