By September 8, 2007March 1st, 2019Air Maria, Announcement, Fi News

Ave Maria!

It been a busy weekend here at Griswold. Yesterday at 7pm we had the clothing of seven Novices. This morning we had the first profession of Fr. Joachim who has just finished his novitiate and Fra Athanasius renewed his temporary vows.

Tonight we will be the grand event, the Solemn Profession of Fra Joseph Mary, F.I. at 7pm Eastern Time. We will be broadcasting this Live on the Internet here as Air Maria for our first live broadcast.

We will be doing a test broadcast all day today prior to the event to get feedback on how it is working. So click on the picture below to try the live Broadcast and please send comments on the normal blog comments below. We need to know how the audio and video is working, including how smooth and clear it is. And, of course … come join us at 7pm for this great event!

The sound is great. It is about 2:40 and it is dim in the chapel. At this time the lights shine brightly on the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe such that you cannot make it out. But the chapel is beautiful as always.

    Ave Maria!

I enjoyed this very much! Wish I could have been there in person but it was a blessing to watch it. The sound and picture stayed good.

I may have placed this comment in the wrong place. This was a wonderful event in every way. The homily, reading of the gospel perfectly done. Very solemn. OK When can I expect to watch daily mass on this site. God Bless.

Thanks to all for the comments. We had about 200 viewers probably more if this represents groups of people. It all seemed to work. Deo Gracias! We are just winding down the celebration here at Griswold. Now we will have to figure out what to do next with this idea. Keep Fra Joseph and all us friars in your prayers and you will be in ours.

    Ave Maria!

    Ave Maria,
May the Lord and Our Lady be with you Fra. Joseph. We watched it live and it looked great. Looking foward to other “LIVE”, shows from AIRMARIA.

    Dear GEORGEM

We haven’t decided exactly what we will be live-streaming from the friay as yet. We hope to start live-streaming the evening Holy Hour with Vespers, Rosary, and Benediction soon. We will take into consideration your request for daily Mass.

    Ave Maria!

  • GEORGEM says:

    Friar Augustine,

Thank you for the response. While daily tv mass is important to me, I and I’m sure, everyone else would appreciate any live-streaming event. This site is quickly becoming EWTN NORTH! By the way, if I wanted to ask a broad theological question seeking the collective wisdom of the Friars at Griswold where would I post it?
    Thank you and God Bless.

  • Son of the Immaculate says:

Is the possible archived program impossible?

  • Steph says:

Thanks so much for doing this!! We couldn’t attend the profession and it was so wonderful to be able to see it all close up from home. I have a 6 year old now who “really wants to be a friar”.
    Ave Maria
