Ave Maria! This one is by the FI’s in Italy about their “Field School” that they hold each year with youth in the majestic Italian Alps. The beautiful footage is set to music with Italian titles. Perhaps we will come up with a version with English titles, but really, the imagery says it all. Part 2 will be tomorrow. |
Ave Maria! Fr. Elias and the other friars and local youth sled down the l-o-o-o-o-ng steep hill at our Bloomington, IN Friary. He even carried a friar cam with him so you can get an on-sled view of the action. So click play and hang on tight!! Ave Maria! +++ |
Ave Maria! Fr. Angelo discusses the problem of helping the lost generation by directing them spiritually by hands-on involvement with those in need, by witnessing to the faith with acts of charity, sharing with them the road to faith and charity. He discusses these as remedies to the various social problems, drug abuse and bad spirituality that so adversely effects their spiritual development. Ave Maria! +++ |

Events included talks by bishops and visiting priests, seminars and actual on-the-street evangelization of passersby, Holy Mass, adoration, vocations expo, and entertainment nights. The week-long event was organized by SCENE (Sydney Congress Embracing the New Evangelisation) and was designed to keep the fire of the Faith, kindled at WYD, burning brightly in the hearts of the youth. |

Ave Maria! Fr. Joseph Michael went on this 50km procession from St. Michael’s Cathedral in Wagga Wagga, NSW, Australia to the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Marian Hills, Tarcutta, NSW. He was the chaplain (and cameraman) to this group of approximately 70 Catholics of various ages. The journey was spread over the course of several days, camping along the way. |
Ave Maria! The Friars in Australia led a weekend Men’s Lenten Retreat in Borden, WA, complete with talks, Liturgy of the Hours and Holy Mass. The “highpoint” of the retreat was the hike up Bluff Knoll (elev. 1095m) where we enjoyed the view and celebrated Holy Mass – likely the first time Holy Mass was ever celebrated up there! |

I set off in search of the source of my vocation. It is beating there … in the Upper Room in Jerusalem. I thank God that during the Great Jubilee of the Year 2000 I was able to pray precisely there-in the Upper Room (Mark 14:15), where the Last Supper took place. THE SOURCE OF MY VOCATIONby The Servant of God, Pope John Paul III transport myse1f in thought to that memorable Thursday when Christ, having loved his own to the end (Jn.13:1), instituted the Apostles as priests of the New Covenant. I see Him bending down before each of us, succesors of the Apostles, to wash our feet. I hear Him, as if He were speaking to me-to us-these words: “Do you realize what I have done for you? You call Me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Master,’ and rightly so, for indeed I am. If I, therefore, the Master and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought also to wash one anothers feet. I have given you an example to follow, so that as I have done for you, you also should do” (John 13:12-16). (more…) |
