Homily #100701 ( 04min) Play – Today we celebrate the feast of the Most Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ and Fr. Ignatius focuses on how this sacrifice fulfills the Old Testament and renders the old sacrifices useless because of the infinite worth of Christ’s. He also points out that we are called by Christ to take up our cross and follow him. Let us persevere in this.

Fr. Ignatius preaches on how the accusers against Susanna in the first reading became more and more sinful as they reject opportunities to avoid sin and to have recourse to the grace that comes from prayer.

On this Fourth Sunday in Advent Fr. Ignatius explains how the prophecy of Nathan in the Old Testament, that the Lord will build a house for David and his descendants, comes to fulfillment in the New Testament as Mary gives her fiat at the humble Holy House of Nazareth. This comes about through Mary’s obedience of faith. Let us imitate her.

Marycast #7 ( 10min) Play – In this segment of MaryCast Dr. Miravalle expounds on a principal prophecy contained in the Old Testament with regards to Mary and her child Jesus (Emmanuel), as proclaimed by Isaiah: “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign. Behold a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and his name shall be called Emmanuel” (Isaiah 7:14).
