Ave Maria!
Eileen Bianchini of the Gospel of Life ministry discusses with hostess Corinn Dahm the insidious issue of Assisted Suicide, how it is being promoted and how a loophole that could make it a national law overnight. It is being sold to physicians through the living will and to the public as a way to choose when we die. She mentions that we do not have a right to choose to die.
- An imposed death in not a good death.
- Suicidal tendencies, depression, are not healthy
- Fear of death, loss of dignity, incontinence, being a burden
- Cost reduction measures being remarketed.
- Rationing of healthcare
- “Choice” to die with “dignity” becomes a duty
- Sustinet in Connecticut already has rationing included
- Courts need “consensus” of just a few states to reopen a court case.
- Need more than a Living Will, Advanced Directive and a Durable Power of Attorney.
- International Task Force 1-800-958-5678.
- Priests for Life on the Right to Life.

Ave Maria!
Eileen Bianchini discusses with Corinn Dahm the threat of legalized assisted suicide coming to the state of Connecticut and the resulting horrors that could be unleashed. These include almost no ability to confirm weather the person is actually consenting to being killed and whether real pressure is being put on them from family, doctors or government to “Not be a burden”. All of which leads to the specter of a universal distrust of the entire medical institution that is supposed to be the one we trust to save our very lives.

Ave Maria!
Dr. Lorraine Hartnett, medical doctor founder of Eucharistic Helpers of the Sick, talks with Corinn Dahm about the neo-pagan Connecticut legislature’s “Act Concerning Death with Dignity” Bill, which proposes that a terminally ill patient (note: aren’t we all “terminally ill”?) can choose to “competently” commit suicide. This is another manifestation of the pagan form of despair (i.e. life without hope) that’s becoming legislated in our country. “If Christ is not raised from the dead, let us eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die,” as St. Paul famously stated, and such is the mentality of our darkened and empty culture.

Ding-Dong the suicide bill is dead. Seems Sen. McDonald and Rep. Lawlor are having their difficulties since they tried to destroy the Catholic Church in Connecticut last week. Their pet bill, SB 1138 for assisted suicide, was pulled yesterday after a huge outcry from the citizens of CT. Given this bill was probably one of their key moves in their seemingly relentless crusade for the culture of death, it shows how badly their political health has been damaged. From Senator Michael McLachlan’s blog:
The assisted suicide bill from co-chairs Senator McDonald and Representative Lawlor, scheduled for a public hearing before the Judiciary Committee on March 20th, appears to be dead for this session. The reason for pulling SB1138 off the agenda is reported to be “clerical error.” Read more on his blog
