I want my whole life to be inspired by love. He who loves, does all things easily, or, if he suffers, he loves that suffering. Why is suffering necessary? Because on earth, pure love cannot exist without suffering. 0 Jesus, Jesus, I no longer feel my cross when I think of yours.O my soul, be the faithful imitator of Jesus meek and humble of heart. He who has been meek and humble of heart deserves to be glorified. What then will be the reward of those who, interiorly humble and exteriorly humiliated, have followed the humility of our Savior in all its dimensions?

O Mary, my dear Mother, here is your poor child, unable to carry on any longer. You know my needs and above all my spiritual distress. Have pity on me. Grant that one day I may be with you in heaven. I shall do everything to gain heaven, for there is my home. There I shall find my Mother in all her celestial glory and, with her, I shall enjoy the happiness of Jesus himself.
O Mary, most loving Mother, grant that following your example, I may be generous in all the sacrifices that our Lord may ask of me during my life. O Mother, offer me to Jesus! O Mother, take my heart and conceal it in the heart of my Jesus.
Homily #110211 (08min) Play – Prayer, Penance, Healing, the Immaculate Conception are the major subjects of the visit of our Lady at Lourdes. The immaculateness of the Immaculate is the high standard that we should look to imitate, which is the fulfillment of what our Lord asks, “Be perfect as your Heavenly Father is perfect.”

This is a new high quality feature length movie of the life of St. Bernadette that has an interesting twist. All the actors are kids! It is professionally produced by Navis Films which is starting a whole new genre of films called “Children’s Cinema”.
Here is an excerpt from their website:
Just a very quick word about our purpose:
Western Civilization is declining, our culture is crumbling, and it will be up to our children and our children’s children to help save it. The arts comprise a hugely influential component of that culture. If we can inspire one child to take up a career in those arts, and to create stunning beauty so as to lift men’s souls toward God, and in doing so glorify Him, we will have succeeded. To that end we are creating an entirely new genre of film: Children’s Cinema. St. Bernadette of Lourdes features a cast of over 100 mostly home-schooled, Catholic children ranging from 3 to 17 years of age. We are certain that the benefits of this unique experience will extend far beyond its cast and their families. It has been my experience with our other films, and with the extremely successful Glory Stories audio series which I created with Ken Davison of Holy Heroes, that kids love hearing and watching other kids perform. I’m sure you and your kids will absolutely love this film, and the other projects we will be bringing to market within the next few months.
God bless you, and thank you for visiting Navis Pictures.
In Christ,
- Jim Morlino

Interestingly, some of these kids regularly come with their parents to our friary here in Griswold, CT. Enjoy…

Homily #100211 (10min) Play – On this feast of Our Lady of Lourdes Fr. Angelo makes the connection between the Annunciation where an angel appeared to Mary and the Apparition at Lourdes when Our Lady appears to St. Bernadette. Our Lady tells Bernadette she is the Immaculate Conception which is just another way of saying what St Gabriel said to Mary, “Hail, Full of Grace”

Marycast Specials #37 (10min) Play – Dr. Miravalle begins a three-part series discussing the message, meaning, and spirituality of the apparitions of Our Lady to then 14-year old Bernadette Soubirous in Lourdes, France, 1858.
“ I cannot promise you happiness in this life; only in the next”, said Our Lady to the little girl named Bernadette. The young girl lives out her life quietly, going to a convent and never seeking attention for herself. She gave all of herself to God and became a great saint. Her body is incorrupt and it looks so beautiful as if she is only sleeping. It is a marvel!
The Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes in southern France is the most visited pilgrimage site in the world — principally because of the apparent healing properties of the waters of the spring that appeared during the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary to a poor, fourteen-year-old girl, Bernadette Soubirous.
The first apparition occurred February 11, 1858.(more…)
