Repost of Previous video for Scotus Month on AirMaria Ave Maria! “Click in” as Fr. Maximilian Mary recapitulates all that he has said thus far about the absolute primacy of Jesus Christ and prepares to launch into the subject of the mediation of grace and glory through the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Ave Maria! For our Symposium “Mother of the Church” on Marian Coredemption in the National Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, La Crosse, Wisconsin on August 21, 2010, Luis Cardinal Aponte-Martinez, Archbishop Emeritus of San Juan, Puerto Rico gives the second talk titled “Our Lady of Guadalupe: The Coredemptrix and the New Evangelization”. Cardinal Aponte has been one of the most energetic promoters of the dogma of Mary as Coredemptrix. In this talk he uses his warm humor to draw connections between the great evangelization of the Americas through the apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the promise of a similarly fruitful period of worldwide evangelization in our own time should we honor Mary by declaring the Fifth Dogma. By doing so we will fulfill the desire of Pope JPII for a New Evangelization. He says the fruit will be the reconversion of formerly Christian lands beck to the faith, the conversion of new Christian lands, Christians will be united in humility and the world will have peace all as only a mother can give. He points out that by declaring the Fifth Dogma of Mary as Coredemptrix, Mediatrix and Advocate we are declaring her Mother of the Church and Mother of all Peoples and so we will obtain all the associated motherly spiritual gifts for the whole world. He gives a final exhortation for us to all go out and pray and be active in promoting the dogma to friends, family and even to our pastors and bishops. Drew Mariani of Relevant Radio was MC of the symposium. Ave Maria! +++ |

Mary Vitamin for August 23rd Topic: Our Lady’s Joy in the Resurrection of Her Son (The sixth mystery in the Franciscan Crown — Feast August 26) Quote: St. Teresa of Avila One day after receiving Communion, it seemed most clear to me that Our Lord sat beside me; He told me that immediately after His resurrection He went to see our Lady because she then had great need and that the pain she experienced so absorbed and transpierced her soul that she did not return immediately to herself to rejoice in that joy. By this I understood how different was this other transpiercing, the one of my soul. But what must have been that transpiercing of the blessed Virgin’s soul! He also said that He had remained a long time with her because it was necessary in order to console her. St. Teresa of Avila, Spiritual Testimonies, (ICS Publications: 1985), 390-91. Quote used in Mary Vitamin #153 Meditation: Imagine after days of painfully placing herself in God’s presence in prayer, with the agony of the Cross fresh before her mind’s eye, what a joy it was for our Lady to see the Lord in glory, alive and well and to speak with Him with no effort on her part. I Peter 1:6-9 There is cause for rejoicing here. You may for a time have to suffer the distress of many trials; but this is so that your faith, which is more precious than the passing splendor of fire-tried gold, may by its genuineness lead t0 praise, glory, and honor when Jesus Christ appears. When Our Lord appeared to Our Lady and “remained a long time with her because it was necessary to console her” did Our Lady ask about her holy spouse and parents? Did she receive “news” from the Lord about the happiness experienced by her beloved family members? Was this a part of Our Lady’s joy in the Resurrection? She saw her Son’s victory over death and the consequences for those she loved. Resolution: Today before beginning my usual prayers, I will call to mind the visit of Our Lord to Our Lady after the Resurrection. I will try to enter prayer with the joy of Our Lady and remember that it took her a long time with the Lord before she experienced the joy of the Resurrection. Marian Vow: Father Gabriel Allegra, O.F.M. Precisely here is the essence of consecration: always to look carefully at the Immaculate Mother. Her mere look will indicate her wishes, will help one to put them into practice. And thus we will generously and easily do the will of the Father. Mary’s Immaculate Heart, A Way to God, (Franciscan Herald Press: 1985), 76. I give this resolution to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Thanks be to God for graces received. Ave Maria! Linda Andrade Rodrigues of South Coast Today (online version of New Bedford’s Standard Times) published an article about us today, St. Maximilian Kolbe’s Feast Day. She had many kind words about us and Mother Teresa’s Order in New Bedford. We will have to explain to her, though, that we are not quite ready for canonization. Thanks, Linda! August 14, 2010 12:00 AM NEW BEDFORD — Trappist monk and author Thomas Merton wrote, “Oh my God! You see what a barren and desolate place this world is —- send us saints!” The answer to his prayers, our city is blessed by the good works of saints. Walk along our streets, and you’ll see Mother Teresa’s nuns in their white and striped-blue habits, ministering in our neighborhoods. Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta sent her order, the Missionaries of Charity, to New Bedford, and on June 14, 1995, she visited the city, worshipped at the Church of St. Lawrence Martyr and touched the lives of countless SouthCoast residents. Dressed in simple gray robes with sandaled feet, the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate reach out to this city’s homeless and forgotten, and offer spiritual guidance to a constant stream of strangers who wander through the doors of Our Lady’s Chapel in downtown New Bedford. Ave Maria! Well we’ve been very busy here at AirMaria. However, we admit that it has not always been directly posting videos as can be seen from a sparse period in our posting when we got behind on many of our video projects. But we have completed many of the side projects that were holding us back and we’re making up for lost time as you can see by by our many videos in the past week. We have also gotten behind on fund raising and our budget is showing the strain. We are currently a few hundred dollars in the red and have several operating expenses coming up and there are several capital expenses that we need to make, including essential things like expanded storage. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
