Sorry, No Homily Today [Lost the Audio] Fr. Bonaventure explains in today’s Gospel that we should not worry about the time and place of the tribulations that will come before the Second Coming of Christ. Ave Maria! “Two men will be in the field, one will b e taken and the other left.” ‘Rapturists’ believe that this text from Matthew’s Gospel teaches the rapture. A closer look shows that you can only find this doctrine here when you isolate the verses and read the rapture into the text. Ave Maria! |
Ave Maria! Most fundamentalist teach their belief in the rapture, where those who are to be saved are taken silently up to the heavens to be with Christ before the great tribulation. This teaching is based on a bad interpretation of St. Paul. Ave Maria! |
Ave Maria! All Christians profess their belief that Christ will (or already has ) returned. But what that exactly means and how that will (or already has) come about can vary greatly.
