Homily #101104 ( 13min) Play – In today’s Gospel Our Lord gives us the parables of the Lost Sheep and the Lost Coin where if one is lost many are left behind and great effort is exerted to find the one. We should realize then the personal concern that Jesus has for each one of us and we should also have this concern then for our neighbors. Father further points out the great evil of sin which leads souls astray and how preaching and praying for others is so important to the salvation of souls, to lead them to the sacraments.

Recording Failed - In today’s Gospel Our Lord brings salvation to Zacheus of Jericho. Fr. Bonaventure preaches on how Jericho is a symbol of sinfulness that has been conquered by Christ’s presence. This place was one of the most ancient cities in the world and was the lowest place below sea level that is inhabited by man and so is a symbol of Hell. The citizens were devotees of the lunar deities and practiced the associated vices, ones that would cause people to loose their mind, becoming literally lunatics. He connects this with the culture of modern decadent cities using Chapter 2 of the Book of Wisdom and how Christ is needed just as before for bringing the Kingdom of God to these bastions of Satan.

For the conclusion to our symposium “Mother of the Church” on Marian Coredemption in the National Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, La Crosse, Wisconsin on August 21, 2010, Fr. Peter Fehlner, rector of the shrine, expounds on three practical points in summary:
- Make Mary the Center of your life, because this is the way that Jesus wants to give us happiness.
- Work for the salvation of everyone through the good example of consecrating ourselves to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
- Push the Solemn Definition of the Fifth Marian Dogma.
A short but profound to-do list to enable all of us to accomplish great things in the Church for the glory of God.
Drew Mariani of Relevant Radio was MC of the symposium.

Homily #100831 ( 09min) Play – How many will be saved? Our Lord tells us that few will be saved. St. Thomas in his clarity and brevity says, “Those who are saved are in the minority.” Why did Our Lord give us this knowledge? He told us that we might never become presumptuous, that we always might be striving to enter the narrow gate. This is a widespread error in our day and age – everyone goes to Heaven. Let us not be fooled by the lukewarmness and religious indifference prevalent today. Let us work out our salvation in fear and trembling.

He expounds on the Five Offenses against the Immaculate Heart as listed in the Apparition of Our Lady to the children of Fatima for which she asked reparation. He relates this to the general call to participate in the sufferings of Christ, our Redeemer, and so participate in the work of salvation in a way similar to Our Lady the Coredemptrix.
This Saturday we will have a Live Broadcast of our 2010 Coredemption Conference again at La Crosse it will start at 9:45 AM and end at 6:30 PM
