Homily #110506 ( 08min) Play – In today’s Gospel Our Lord multiplies the fish and the loaves to feed five thousand. Fr. Angelo preaches on how this great miracle foreshadows the even greater miracle of the Eucharist and moral miracles like conversion to the faith. However, few understand the importance of these less spectacular miracles. This was true even for those who first heard of the Eucharist when Our Lord described himself as the true bread in John 6 and many of his disciples walked away from Him. Blessed is he who believes even when he can’t see.

Homily #100831 ( 09min) Play – How many will be saved? Our Lord tells us that few will be saved. St. Thomas in his clarity and brevity says, “Those who are saved are in the minority.” Why did Our Lord give us this knowledge? He told us that we might never become presumptuous, that we always might be striving to enter the narrow gate. This is a widespread error in our day and age – everyone goes to Heaven. Let us not be fooled by the lukewarmness and religious indifference prevalent today. Let us work out our salvation in fear and trembling.
