Homily #120513 ( 35min) Play – Fr. Bonaventure on the Gospel message “This I command you, Love one another as I love you.” He reflects that following God’s commandments is the way to love Him and so abide in His love and so be able to love ones neighbor. There is no opposition between love and the law for love fulfills the law and obeying the law fulfills love. This is what Jesus did on the Cross for all of us.

Homily #120408 ( 16min) Play – Fr. Angelo preaches on Easter Sunday on the two great signs of what God has done for us, the Empty Tomb and the Perpetual Virginity. The virgin womb of Mary is the gate of life and is the miraculous sign that Jesus is Our Lord and Savior, pointing to His Divinity. The tomb is normally the gate of death, but because Christ’s tomb is empty it is the perpetual sign that God’s Word is the last word and His power is even greater than death. And so we have the Easter hope that God can triumph over all evil and sin, even our own sin.
Ave Maria!

Homily #120212 ( 25min) Play – At 16 minutes into the homily the recording fails and has to be restarted. The original homily was over 30 minutes.
Today we see our Lord fulfilling the prophecy of the One to come, the One who is to bring salvation to a fallen humanity. Man rules over man with burdensome minute details, but God lightens our hardships. Great good and evil starts from the top and flows down to us. We have a great responsibility to pray that our Lord and Lady send us God fearing leaders, inside and out the Church.

Homily #111030m ( 14min) Play - Ave Maria!
We are all learners, and those who help others learn are also teachers and even “masters”. The pride of the dictatorship of relativism is the claim to know and teach the truth without God. However, teachers are only good teachers to the degree they know The Truth, Jesus Christ. The most powerful lesson we can teach is that of a good life reflecting that of Jesus Himself.

Homily #111023 ( 11min) Play – Fr. Bonaventure preaches on the need for seeking the truth and to love Him who is Truth. He bases this on the gospel where Our Lord tells the sincere Pharisee that the greatest commandment is:
“You shall love the Lord, your God,
with all your heart,
with all your soul,
and with all your mind.
This is the greatest and the first commandment.
The second is like it: (more…)
