Ave Maria! Host Corinn Dahm discusses with Fr. Peter Fehlner, FI the recent 90th anniversary of the last miracle of Fatima, the Coredemption Conference we held on that day, and Our Lady of America. Come listen how all this pertains in a vital way to the pro-life cause. Ave Maria! |
Ave Maria! Fr. Peter Fehlner gives us an interview on the importance and urgency of the Marian titles of Coredemption, Mediatrix and Advocate in our troubled times. This he does in the context of our upcoming Coredemption Conference, Behold Your Mother, in Greenwood, IN on Saturday Oct 13th, the 90th anniversary of the final miracle at Fatima. Find out why these Marian doctrines are the most important issue in the Church today, and even the world. Ave Maria! |
Ave Maria! We celebrated our first Traditional Latin Mass here at Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel in Griswold, CT on Friday, Sept 14, feast of the Triumph of the Holy Cross 2007. The next morning Fr. Peter Fehlner gave an interview with the Roving Reporter on the subject. Okay, the Roving Reporter did not have to rove very far because it was filmed right on the front porch of the friary, but after the busy week we had even he needed a break. Listen as Fr. Peter explains that there are not two rites but only one which can be celebrated with some adaptations and that if the Novus Order is celebrated by the book then it is not much different from the traditional Latin Mass. The evening of the same day of this interview we had our second Latin Mass and this we broadcast, live. You can view the comments here. Ave Maria! |
Ave Maria! The Airmaria crew were so blessed to be in NYC for a few days around the Sixth Anniversay of the 9/11 terrorist attack, covering a story about the Statue of Our Lady of America, which was enthroned in St Peter’s Church, on Chapel St. Just a few blocks down the street, at the WTC Path subway station, which is situated right in front of ground zero, friar Roderic, our Roving Reporter, met Kevin Calhoun, of the New York City Fire Dept, and shot this touching interview. This is what 9/11 is all about. It’s not about the destruction, it’s not about the devastation, it’s not about the new tower… it’s about people, it’s about heroes, it’s about love – it’ about the “Heart of America”. Ave Maria! |
Ave Maria! Starting with the Last Seven words of Christ on the Cross that refer to Psalm 22:1, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me??? and later in verse 9, “You have drawn me out of the womb. You entrusted me to my mother’s breast and placed me on her lap.?? Fr. Peter Fehlner makes the connection between Christ’s crucifixion and the incarnation and thus Mary. His cry is not one of despair but, as the rest of the Psalm indicates, He willed the Crucifixion as well as the Incarnation that made it possible. Mary who cooperated with God in bringing Christ into the world, cooperates with God in the Redemption as she stands at the foot of the cross. He covers the thinking of the Fathers of the Church on this matter, Moses the Law and Elias the prophet, the Transfiguration of the Lord on Mt. Tabor, the Virgin Birth and much more. Come listen to this most important video as we approach the crucifixion… Ave Maria! |
Ave Maria! “Sacrifice and offerings you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me…Behold, I come to do your will.” These are the words of Christ, who humbled Himself and leapt down from Heaven into the Virgin’s womb, into the Virgin Earth of Our Lady. The only offering that could redeem us came through Mary, and, unlike Abraham, there was no substitute for the sacrifice of Her Son. Fr. Peter here speaks wonderfully on the glories of Our Lady, noting among other things that besides God the Father, the only one who can understand God the Son is His Mother. Ave Maria! |
Ave Maria! The reward for Christ’s humility is His glorification and ours as well. Humility is the cornerstone of our faith. Pride, vanity, curiosity – all the vices that make up a successful worldly career are the gifts of Satan and the fruits of original sin. Possessing many college degrees in not the formula for sanctity. Fr. Peter once again speaks with authority on the harmony of humility and dignity in the lives of Christ, Our Lady, and in our own lives. Ave Maria! |
Ave Maria! Fr. Peter continues his discourse on the thought of Bl. John Duns Scotus. Scotus’ thoughts on the freedom of the will aren’t as shaky as some contemporary theologians would have us believe. He did not follow the heretical teachings of William of Occum. Scotus distinguished between the perfect will of God and the imperfect will of man, and we must be aware of this distinction when we attempt to compare God to ourselves. The basis of our personhood, our freedom, and our dignity lies in our will, and freedom itself is not license: it is the ability to guard and foster virtue, and it was never accomplished so perfectly in a human being as it was accomplished in Mary. Listen to this fascinating talk given by the master of Scotus and the Mother of God. Ave Maria! |
Ave Maria! Fr. Peter and John Primeau of NACEPF discuss Mary as Mediatrix of all Graces in the context of Her involvement in the Eucharist and the Incarnation. Ave Maria! Ave Maria! |
Ave Maria! Is the world our friend or enemy? In this 6th show in his series, The Golden Thread, Fr. Peter Mary Fehlner discusses the Church’s relation to the world in the light of the Second Vatican Council. He points out that the source of much of the widely varying interpretations of the Council which have caused so much confusion to the faithful is the multitude of different meanings of the word “world.” Fr. Peter clarifies these meanings and in this way helps us to see that Vatican II did not represent a break with past teaching. He also talks about the relative and absolute meanings of the words “autonomous” and “secular” and whether our dependence on God is predicamental or transcendent. All in the light of the theology of the Marian Doctor, Bl. John Duns Scotus. Ave Maria! |
Ave Maria! Using the Biblical verses Exodus 3:14, the Burning Bush that speaks to Moses and Luke 1:26, the Annunciation of the Angel Gabriel to Mary, John Primeau discusses with Fr. Peter Mary Fehlner, F.I. the Perpetual Virginity and Immaculate Conception of Our Lady as signs of Our Lord being sent by the Father. Fr. Peter makes the connection between the Bush that burns with the Spirit of the Lord but is not consumed and the Virginity of Our Lady that is made fruitful by the Holy Spirit while not being consumed, she remains a virgin throughout. Ave Maria! Beginning with The Wedding Feast at Cana (John 2:1) Fr. Peter Fehlner discusses with host John Primeau the connection between the Divine Motherhood of Mary and her role as Intercessor and the general importance of Parenthood in the upbringing of their children. Ave Maria! |
