Immaculate Music #13 – Missa Cantata TLM celebrating Our Lady of Good Counsel ( 3min) >>> Play |

Ave Maria!
Fiddleback chasubles and Franciscan sandals come together in the extraordinary form of the Mass (Traditional Latin Mass) at Our Lady of Guadalupe Friary of the Franciscans of the Immaculate. The video is put to beautiful music from the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate, our sister order. The music was recorded in Italy and is a fine testimony to the high quality of their music program which, combined with the friar’s, is playing a major part in spearheading the liturgical music reform in Italy.

FI News #14 – Bro. Francis Mary Kalvelage on Fatima Today >>> Play |

Ave Maria!
We are so grateful here at AirMaria.com to Louise Marciano, the producer of the show “Fatima Today”, which is broadcast on several cable networks in the Boston area, for sending us this episode of the show with Bro. Francis Mary Kalvelage as the guest.
We hope you enjoy this episode of “Fatima Today” entitled “Padre Pio – The Wonder Worker”, and as I was previewing this show, it brought back lots of pleasant memories of this wonderful religious brother and our brother in Christ. I am sure that his books will be treasured for ages to come even after he has passed from this life.
On the video, it says that the book “Padre Pio – The Wonder Worker” is available from Ignatius Press – this may be so, but please try marymediatrix.com first! We also apologize for the technical problems during the opening sequence of the show – persevere – it gets better.
Ave Maria!
P.S. – The great number of inquiries about how Bro. Francis is doing is a great testimony of how much he is loved and admired. Thanks to all the good help at Sacred Heart Nursing Home he is doing well. He is still on a feeding tube. He still recognizes people and is able to respond sometimes. But with his paralysis from his stroke he is certainly doing his purgatory on earth. So please keep him in your prayers.

Ave Maria!
After being a Protestant Pastor for over 30 years, first in a nondenominational church and then in three Presbyterian churches, Neil Babcox makes the journey home to the Catholic Faith on the Solemnity of All Saints, November 1, 2006. While most Protestant converts find Catholic devotion to Our Lady an extremely difficult obstacle to becoming Catholic, for Neil it was just the opposite: Her irresistible tenderness drew him into the fullness of Christ’s Church. Neil spent his first Easter with the Franciscans of the Immaculate and shared his story with AirMaria.com in two episodes. Watch Neil in this first episode as he shares how the Immaculate brought him home; and be sure to tune in to EWTN, Marcus Grodi’s The Journey Home on May 21st at 8pm where Neil will share more of his story.

FI News #11 – A slide show of the recent ordinations of 10 friars. >>> Play |

Ave Maria!
We are happy to announce that ten Franciscans of the Immaculate were ordained to the priesthood through the imposition of the hands of His Eminence Crescenzio Card. Sepe, Archbishop of Napoli on March 24, 2007 in the Church of St. Theresa of the Discalced, Naples. This is an incredible blessing to the order and the Church. As the saintly Don Donlindo Ruotolo put it, “The priest is a flower that has bloomed in the magnificence of the love of Jesus Christ … that shines in the splendor of his dignity and excels all others … a rose from the Immaculate Heart of Mary”
There were no Americans ordained this year but one of the ordained, Fra Agnelus from England, made his postulancy and novitiate here in America and several American seminarians were in the Church and are anxiously awaiting their ordination in just a few short years, after which they will be able come back and minster to us here.
Fra Bonaventure from Cameroon was ordained as well. Generous benefactors from the US paid for the plane tickets for his family to come and see his ordination. All those who contributed will be glad to see that they were, in fact, able to come. They stand out in their beautiful traditional African clothes, captured here in some of the slides.
The beautiful church is staffed by the FI sisters who also sang magnificently for the ceremony. Thank you, Jesus and Mary!!
