December 29, 2010. Pope Benedict XVI’s journey to Portugal marked the month of May. The pope travelled to the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima to celebrate the ten year anniversary of the beatification of Jacinta and Francisco, two of the three shepherds to whom the Virgin Mary appeared.
Benedict XVI
“The Virgin Mary came down from heaven to remind us of the Gospel’s truths that are a source of hope for a human race, void of love and without hope of salvation.”
On the evening of October 16, 1917 (First Vespers of the Feast of Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, Saint of the Sacred Heart), Saint Maximilian and six Franciscan friars erected the first company of the new army of Mary with the hope in the divine promise Gen 3:15 “ipsa conteret caput tuum.”
What is so significant about this date?
Well just three days before, the Blessed Virgin Mary made her [last] apparition to the three children Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta in Fatima, Portugal.
The great Marian movement founded by Saint Maximilian Kolbe and the message of Fatima are linked in their origins.

He expounds on the Five Offenses against the Immaculate Heart as listed in the Apparition of Our Lady to the children of Fatima for which she asked reparation. He relates this to the general call to participate in the sufferings of Christ, our Redeemer, and so participate in the work of salvation in a way similar to Our Lady the Coredemptrix.

In honor of the Month of the Precious Blood

[Pilate said] “I am innocent of this man’s blood. Look to it yourselves.” And the whole people said in reply, “His blood be upon us and upon our children.” Then he released Barabbas to them, but after he had Jesus scourged, he handed him over to be crucified. MT 27:24-26 (more…)

the Holy Father consecrated Priests in this Year for Priests to the Blessed Mother.
Immaculate Mother, in this place of grace, called together by the love of your Son Jesus the Eternal High Priest, we, sons in the Son and His priests, consecrate ourselves to your maternal Heart, in order to carry out faithfully the Father’s Will.
We are mindful that, without Jesus, we can do nothing good (cf. Jn 15:5) and that only through Him, with Him and in Him, will we be instruments of salvation for the world.
Bride of the Holy Spirit, obtain for us the inestimable gift of transformation in Christ. Through the same power of the Spirit that overshadowed you, making you the Mother of the Saviour, help us to bring Christ your Son to birth in ourselves too. May the Church be thus renewed by priests who are holy, priests transfigured by the grace of Him who makes all things new. (more…)

The Holy Father has been taking a beating lately on behalf of his sinful sons in the priesthood. “The pope will have much to suffer,” Our Lady told the children at Fatima. This has been realized in every pope since the time of the apparitions, but we wonder if Our Lady had these days and this pope particularly in mind.
None of us should be particularly surprised or even disturbed by the assaults of the enemies of the Church. This is nothing new or unexpected. For if in the green wood they do these things, what shall be done in the dry? Our Lord said on the day he died (Lk23:31). History has played itself out, just as he predicted. (more…)
MaryCast Specials #75 (10min) Play – Dr. Mark Miravalle explains how the message of the Fatima apparition is the ‘Grandmother’ of Marian messages since all earlier apparitions look forward to Fatima and all subsequent ones look back to it. He focuses on the quintessential message of Fatima that was given to Lucia on July 13th where Our Lady asks for prayers and reparation to save souls from Hell. The apparition continues with a vision of Hell and the suffering of souls there and then a prophecy of the end of World War I, then the Russian Revolution, the spread of Communism, World War II and the annihilation of whole nations. The apparition ends with her request to consecrate Russia to her Heart, do the 1st Saturday devotions and to say the Fatima Prayer at the end of each decade of the Rosary:
O my Jesus,
Forgive us ours sins,
save us from the fires of Hell,
lead all souls to Heaven,
especially those most in need of thy mercy.
Dr. Mark stresses that not all of these prophecies have come to past yet, especially the annihilation of nations. The best way to prevent this is to encourage more people to head her requests and to ask for the declaration of the 5th Marian Dogma.
