In March of 2011, our friars and sisters celebrated a Pontifical High Mass with Cardinal Raymond Burke in Rome at the Church of St. Nicolas (imprisoned).  Here’s a “short-short” of one of the sister’s hymns sung after Holy Communion, with Sr. Maria Cecilia Manelli as conductor of the choir.

It’s become a tradition that the FI clerics here in Italy – that is, those who are studying for the priesthood – hold a concert every September in honor of the Feast of Our Lady of the Royal Hall at our sanctuary in Comacchio, Italy.  Here’s the third of the three-part series from that concert.  The friars are from all different parts of the globe, including the US, Italy, the Philippines, Nigeria, Chad, Benin, and France, among others.  Fr. Giovanni Manelli was conductor of the choir on this occasion.  Our Lady of the Royal Hall, o pray for us!

This past Corpus Christi the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate in Rome had the privilege of attending the Eucharistic  procession of our Holy Father.  The procession started at the basilica of St. John Lateran and finished at the basilica of St. Mary Major.  We hope you enjoy some of the highlights of our special evening, which includes audio from the Holy Mass celebrated beforehand by the Pope as well as audio of the Vatican choir which beautifully animated the procession and the Eucharistic benediction.  The video contains text in English and in Italian.

In honor of the feast of one of the patrons of our FI house of studies (S.T.I.M.) here in Italy, we present this video of the Holy Mass celebrated in 2010 in Rome in the extraordinary form, with our co-founder Father Gabriele.  It’s a mixture of highlights and music from the Mass, as well as some thoughts from our blessed scholastic philosopher/theologian, who died in 1308.  The text is in both Italian and English.

Here’s a glimpse of the procession that was held on the outskirts of Rome for the feast of “Holy Mary of Nazareth” parish, one of the parishes that our Franciscan Friars have care of here in Italy. We’ve added to the footage a few reflections from the book Devotion to Mary, written by our founder, Father Stefano M. Manelli, to add some depth and reflection to this short, catholic-culture film. Included are also some piano pieces played by Sister Maria Settima Manelli, a hymn or two from our Friars, and also some faint but beautiful hymns taken from the monastery of our contemplative Franciscan Sisters here in Italy at Città di Castello.
