Ave Maria!

Here is a new novel highly recommended by Fr. Peter Fehlner, centering on Catholic spirituality, written by Clara Fleischmann who also compiled a prayer book, “The Three Crowns: The Seven Joys, the Seven Sorrows, and the Seven Glories of Mary”, which will soon be published by the Academy of the Immaculate, the FI’s publishing house.

From the back cover:

“Enjoyed it very much from beginning to end!” – Father Peter Damian Fehlner, F.I., S.T.D.

To whom has our redemption been entrusted? Who is the focal point of our lives? Who is Heaven’s Gate? Father John Lang is as clear on the answer now as when he first took on the difficult mission of St. Botvid’s Catholic Church in Botby, a small village in Gotland-a part of former Sweden. Maria Högernäs, a young parishioner, senses that the political atmosphere is thickening. She perceives keenly the tensions of war. These are added to the internal struggles of being a young woman, uncertain of her future. Maria discovers that her life, like Father John Lang’s, is in the hands of the Blessed Virgin. After the Fall author Clara Maria Bernadette Fleischmann, née Cavallin, was born in Gotland, Sweden. She is a homeschooling mother, and lives with her family in Milton, WI. With her husband, Jonathan, she is the compiler of a prayer book, The Three Crowns: The Seven Joys, the Seven Sorrows, and the Seven Glories of Mary, published by the Academy of the Immaculate.

From a review:

This novel has it all – mystery, romance, suspense, thrills… and theology!

Written for “Hungry Catholic Readers”, this is a novel in the best tradition of Catholic fiction (think of “Lord of the World” by Robert Hugh Benson), with charm and a great feeling for characters. This is a novel that will delight readers of all ages (my daughter, who is under 10 years old, loves it, and I, who am over 30 years old, love it too)! HIGHLY recommended for anyone who loves the Blessed Virgin Mary, or for anyone who wants to know her better…

Ave Maria!
