During our Fortnight for Freedom we may want to reflect on the damage that contraception has done to our society. Pope Paul VI predicted all this over forty years ago in his famous encyclical Humanae Vitae in the form of a warning that if we don’t reject contraception. Unfortunately, this warning was not heeded and even lampooned by our society. Let us hope that at least after all his warnings have been clearly vindicated that we will have the sense to reject this element of the culture of death. Ave Maria!
This video fails to mention the horrific effects that the pill has had on our drinking water supply. A study done by Dr. David Margel, a uro-oncology fellow at the University of Toronto Birth found that birth control pills often contain a type of estrogen called ethinyloestradiol, which women taking the pills excrete in their urine. The hormone ends up in the water supply, or is taken up by plants or animals that use the water, and then passed up the food chain.

And quoting Dr. Buckley, from an ABC News article, “Everything from antidepressants to heart medication to birth control pills to caffeine” has been found in certain drinking water, said Dr. Brian Buckley, environmental scientist at Rutgers University in New Jersey. “The concern is we don’t know what these chemicals do in the body over a lifetime of exposure,” Buckley said.
