Click to Play Video

MaryCast Specials #146 ( 12min) Play – Dr. Mark Miravalle presents to us the Miraculous Medal. It was first introduced as the Immaculate Conception Medal after Our Lady requested this through an apparition to St. Catherine Laboure, a very unnoticed nun. However, so many miracles occurred to those who embraced this devotion that it became known as the Miraculous Medal and became the most popular devotional in the Church. Listen to Dr. Mark Miravalle explains the significance of the medal and its symbols that relate to the Marian Dogmas and how the apparition ushered in the modern ‘Age of Mary’. The Memorial day is on November 27, last Sunday, so it was not celebrated this year in deference to the Lord’s Day.

First Sunday of Advent: On the Twofold Coming of Christ

Sunday, November 27th, 2011

Ave Maria Meditations

We do not preach only one coming of Christ, but a second as well much more glorious than the first. The first coming was marked by patience; the second will bring the crown of a divine kingdom.

In general, what relates to our Lord Jesus Christ has two aspects. There is a birth from God before the ages, and a birth from a virgin at the fullness of time. There is a hidden coming, like that of rain on fleece, and a coming before all eyes, still in the future.

At the first coming he was wrapped in swaddling cloths in a manger. At his second coming (more…)
